Emergency care for your child
Fever with fits, breathing trouble, a bad fall, a newborn who won’t feed, you don’t have to wait for morning. Our pediatric emergency team is staffed and equipped around the clock, every day of the year.
When to bring your child straight in
If you see any of the following, don’t wait it out at home; come to the emergency ward directly.
High fever with fits
A febrile seizure, or fever above 104°F that won’t come down with medicine.
Breathing trouble
Fast, laboured breathing, chest pulling in with each breath, or bluish lips, including severe pneumonia.
Severe dehydration
Repeated vomiting or diarrhoea, sunken eyes, no urine for hours, or a baby too weak to feed.
Trauma or a bad fall
Head injury, deep cuts, a suspected fracture, or any accident that leaves your child dazed.
Sudden drowsiness
A child who is unusually hard to wake, limp, or not responding the way they normally would.
Severe abdominal pain
Pain that keeps a child doubled over, or pain with a swollen, tender belly.

Triage at the door
A nurse checks vitals immediately and flags anything that needs urgent attention.

Pediatric assessment
Our on-call pediatrician or neonatologist examines your child and orders any tests needed.

Stabilise & treat
Oxygen, IV fluids, medication or minor procedures start right in the emergency bay.
04
Admit or go home
Your child moves to NICU/ward if needed, or you leave with a clear care plan.

Emergency cases are seen by our pediatric and neonatology consultants, not a general duty doctor alone.

- Morning OPD: 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM (Mon – Sat)
- Evening OPD: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Mon – Sat)
